Iombi Aid Post — coming online for our students & community
The Iombi Aid Post is gazetted and recognised by the Southern Highlands Health Authority. Once it comes online, it will bring basic health care directly to Iombi's students and the surrounding community — reducing the long journey to health facilities elsewhere in the Imbonggu District, Mendi and Mt Hagen.
The aid post will support maternal and child health, immunisation, first aid, treatment of everyday illnesses and referrals, and will work hand-in-hand with the schools on student wellbeing, hygiene and health awareness.
We are now raising funds to bring it online: K100,000 to construct and set up the aid post building, and K150,000 for medication and medical supplies to stock and run it — a total of K250,000.
