Our story

Education, connected

Iombi Schools serve the Iombi community in the Imbonggu District of Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea.

The Iombi school system is built on a simple belief: children in remote highlands communities deserve the same quality of education as anyone in the world. Through Starlink satellite internet, our classrooms are connected to the global web of knowledge — and with AI-assisted teaching tools, our teachers can plan richer lessons and give every student more personalised support.

A two-school system

Iombi Primary School teaches Grades 1–6, giving the youngest members of our community a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy and curiosity. Iombi Junior High Schoolcarries students through Grades 7–10, preparing them for senior secondary study and the opportunities that follow.

Mission

To deliver connected, future-ready education in Iombi — nurturing confident, capable young Papua New Guineans who can shape their own community and country.

Where we are

Iombi, Imbonggu District, Southern Highlands Province — in the shadow of Mt Giluwe, Papua New Guinea's second-highest mountain.
